María Jesús Chaparro

María Jesús Chaparro holds a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Chile and finished her Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Barcelona in 2021. Currently, she is doing a PhD at the University of Barcelona. Her experience focuses mainly on the public sector, designing, implementing and evaluating public policies in the areas of education, gender and management selection for the public sector. Her current research interests include work-life balance policies and gender inequalities, focusing on parental leave and co-parenting. After an internship for the CAPABLE project, she will continue support research work on work-life balance policies in Spain, as a research assistant.
