Karen van Hedel
Karen van Hedel is a postdoctoral researcher in the CAPABLE project and focuses on cross-national analyses of work-life balance and (self-reported) health and well-being using cross-sectional and longitudinal survey data. Karen obtained her PhD in Public Health from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She has previously been affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany as a Research Scientist studying work-family factors and health. Her research interests include (explaining) socioeconomic inequalities in health, life course approaches to health and health disparities, work-family trajectories, and cross-national differences in health.
